Bulleit Sessions

Bulleit Bourbon produced a series of events in Glasgow and Edinburgh featuring a credible combination of classic and contemporary counterculture artists. Inner Ear were commissioned to produce a podcast series to promote and accompany the events. The brief was broad and open to interpretation. In the series we have focused on artist profiles and interviews to tell the story of this new events series. The podcast series, like the events, seek to promote alternative, quality music and, in a subtle manner, explore the relationship between influential heritage genres such as blues and folk with modern artists.

Edinburgh’s innovative pernicious pop band Found fronted the series and played at the first event, in Glasgow, alongside The Aliens (formerly the Beta Band) and Southern blues guitar legend Guitar Shorty. Found are members of the Fence Collective who hosted the second event, in Edinburgh, with new signing Rozi Plain from Bristol joined by Sheffield’s Slow Club and headlined by Fence-founder King Creosote. Comedian Harry Gooch hosted the night.

Guitar ShortyAt each of the events we recorded the live music sessions, interviewed the bands backstage and captured atmospherics and soundbites from the audience to tell the story and share the spirit of the Bulleit Sessions.

This podcast is available in audio only and enhanced audio versions, both published in the same feed.
