Business Gateway, Scotland’s new business advice and support agency, commissioned us to create a four-part investigative information series exploring the process of starting your own business. Working to the brief: turn your passion into your profession, we interviewed 15 Scottish businesses from several sectors and of varying levels of experience.
From the established Soma Records and the reputable Coast to Coast Adventures surf school to popular bar Gazelle, a startup flick-book designer and a piano wizard, these four programmes examine the motivation, inspiration, perspiration and frustrations of starting your own business.
This was a great series to make. It was very well received by Business Gateway and their website users. Listen to some of the episodes. There are some really inspiring comments and opinions from young Scottish entrepreneurs.
They were available as on demand streams from Business Gateway’s website in 2005. They were also serialised on Radio Magnetic.
