Partly as part of an ongoing online audience development activity and partly to document the events, Material Marketing and Communications, on behalf of the New Territories performance art festival, asked us to create a podcast series which featured the National Review of Live Art.
High profile events on the international performance art scene calendar, the National Review of Live Art, New Territories and New Moves come together to create a exciting, ground-breaking, dynamic festival. We wanted to represent this vibrancy in the podcasts. To do this we combined profile interviews with audience and performer vox pops, audio description and ambient sounds.
Our team includes theatre practitioners, visual artists and musicians. Consequently we can relate to performance artists in a peer to peer manner. Our approach with this commission, as with all of our work, was to interview a variety of people and draw out their most interesting, engaging opinions and experiences then use the best clips in context to tell the story.
Our clients, Material and New Territories, were delighted with the authentic, candidly credible account of one of the world’s most interesting live art events.
