4iP is a new venture by the media organisation formerly known as Channel 4 (now just “4″). Launched first in Scotland and Northern Ireland, with its base here in Glasgow, but serving the UK (and potentially the world), 4iP is a fund and network to nurture and develop new media innovations that will benefit the public. 4iP powered projects can be commercial, and with £3M matched-funding investment from Scottish Enterprise, they welcome private sector partnership, as long as they serve a genuine public need.
The official 4iP site has more information, a blog and the most open submission system that we’ve seen in a media organisation. We’ve submitted one idea (code name: The Tree Trail), are working on another with dynamic Edinburgh ad agency mightysmall have two more ideas in development.
We think there’s something for everyone in 4iP. As Inner Ear exists in the space between production companies and marketing agencies (with demonstrable credentials in both areas) we’re more than happy to partner with inspiring individuals, creative companies, pernicious producers and adventurous agencies. Get in touch if you’d like to discuss ideas.
