Ireland presented a stunning set of artists to an international audience of delegates during Celtic Connections in Glasgow, January 2025. Ireland was the international partner for Showcase Scotland, the industry trade event that takes place in the globally-celebrated annual traditional, folk and world music festival.
Culture Ireland, the national organisation for championing and promoting Irish music, arts and cultural endeavour internationally, commissioned Inner Ear to document and create compelling content from their showcase event. Showcase Scotland is a longstanding client of Inner Ear’s; we have been involved many times. And through TRADtv we have deep connections in the traditional music scene.
We captured the action “as live” with a vision-mixed multi-camera shoot of the performances and presentations and conducted interviews with artists and industry professionals.
Afterwards we mixed and mastered the audio, tidied up and colour graded the video and produced a package including an edited highlights reel and the six live performances from the showcase.
Culture Ireland and the artists have used these videos to promote their work and secure additional international deals and bookings.
We work like this often, capturing a variety of valuable content during an intensive period over one or more days then extracting more value from the recordings as we edit and package a catalogue of media assets. Additional value is unlocked when it is published on websites and social media platforms — either by our clients or ourselves working in partnership with them — and used to engage audiences.
