You Need To Watch: Daring Danny MacAskill Live Stream

We produced a Danny MacAskill Live Stream to extend the reach of Riverside Extreme. This extreme sports event ran in Glasgow at the Riverside Museum in September 2010. We created a live web TV show designed to reach a niche specialist interest international audience.

Acting on a referral following our work with Glasgow Jazz Festival, and other festivals, See Glasgow (who marketed Glasgow activities) and Glasgow Life (who run cultural and lifestyle activities in Glasgow) commissioned Inner Ear to plan, run and broadcast a live web TV show featuring internationally renowned trail bike expert Danny MacAskill and his crew, Clan.

Highlights from the Riverside Extreme Ft. Danny MacAskill event which took place at the Riverside Museum, Glasgow on Saturday 24 September, 2011.

Danny MacAskill’s bike was on display at the Riverside Muesum, Glasgow, something he was pleasantly surprised by. The event attracted a huge crowd of cycling and extreme sports enthusiasts. We captured the atmosphere with our multi-camera live production and reached thousands of online viewers.

In addition to our the live web TV production of Danny MacAskill and the other Clan riders, we also made a simple branded webpage to promote the show, branded a Livestream channel and produced a highlight video of the day that featured activity shots, voxpops and soundbite interviews.

Showcasing Glasgow’s Innovation

This live outside broadcast followed a packed week of live streaming jobs for us as part of our position as a key partner in the delivery of Social Media Week Glasgow. Riverside Extreme took place at the Riverside Museum, Glasgow, on Saturday 24 September 2011. We setup a live outside broadcast that included three cameras, multiple audio feeds, vision mixing on the fly and a hard wired streaming uplink to our preferred streaming server and bandwidth provider (at the time), Livestream.
